Spongebob Bash!

This past weekend Nickelodeon was hosting a Spongebob SquarePants bash where they were going to air 10 brand new episodes to celebrate 10 years of being on the air. So we decided to have a Spongebob bash with games and activitys all assoicated with Spongebob.

You can't have a Spongebob party with out the guest of honor.

Spongebob and Patrick love to go Jelly fishing so we played pin the jelly fish on the net!

After some of our games we sat down to color some pictures of Spongebob and Patrick and then pulled our mattress in to the family room so we could campout and watch the Spongebob bash. When the clock struck 7:00 we had ice cream sundays (Spongebobs favorite food) and setted in for the 10 new eposiodes. Needless to say it was simple little activites but the boys had fun and that is what we wanted was for them to enjoy it in a fun way rather than just watching it, we made an event out of it.

Mama Called the Dr. & the Dr. said...

So we had a little accident today. While rough housing with his brother today Andrew had a run in with the corner of the wall where the metal flashing is underneath the drywall and had to make a trip to the ER for stitches.

I was really blessed that this accident happened at the end of a play date with a friend right before she left. So when it happened and we realized he would need to go to the ER she took my other two boys home with her. You know these head wounds always seem to pour blood. If you look closely at Andrews shirt the large dark spot down the front is all blood. I was wearing a white shirt and was soaked in blood. So because I had used a tie to secure an ice pack wrapped in a towel to stop the bleeding and I was covered in blood, the minute we walked in the ER they took us right back and sent someone to come and admit us while the got to work on Andrew.

Now Andrew did not need this head bandage after they stitched him up but while he had a different on earlier to stop the bleeding he asked if he could go home with one on because it made him feel like a pirate. Silly boy! He was however very brave, before we got to the ER he was scared that it would hurt to have stitches but we said a prayer that he would have peace and that the spirit would be with him during his trip to the hospital. Afterward he said that our prayer was answered because he wasn't scared. I'm grateful that he is okay and that I was able to use this situation to teach my kids on how important it is to pray always.

Let Freedom Ring!

We had a great 4th of July! We started off by attending a Tea Party in Gilbert, and it was really nice to see such a great turn out from both sides of the political parties. . The Tea Parties are away for Americans to peacefully protest all the Government spending, taxes and over all less Government in the free market. If you want to learn more about what a Tea Party is I recommend that you do some research and find out what it is. and over all just get your self more informed.

We ended up on the news last night showing us with our signs protesting. I haven't seen it yet but my brother called to tell me he saw our family on the news.

Here's the boys holding there signs. We had a family home evening lesson earlier that week to let our kids know what and why were going to the Tea Party. I think it is very important for us to teach our children true history and patriotism. I'm just glad to have these chances to teach our children that if you don't like what's going on to speak up and do something about is. So many people are so apathetic that they don't like what's going on but just end up burying there heads in the sand.

Here's our friends Mark and Janette Duffin who went with us to the Tea Party and afterward we went back to our house for a brunch.

Some of the main stream media will have people believe that not very many people show up to these Tea Parties. But I can tell you from experience they are wrong it was a great turn out. There's a moment happening and the media just wants to down play it.

Here's my brother filming some of the Tea Party to put on You Tube as a way to create at more awareness. In our family we have never sat by and just talked politics we get involved and I'm grateful for parents who instilled in us while we were young what it means to be an American and grateful for this country that our Heavenly Father had preordained so he could bring about is restored gospel. Now it our turn to maintain those freedoms so many Americans died for.

After our protest and brunch with the Duffins we went and took the kids to see Ice Age 3. It was cute and the kids enjoyed it. We then headed over to my brothers house for a BBQ.

Here's one Andrews picture of us which should of been a sweet picture but Hunter jumped in at last second and Kevin gave me the bunny ears. But that's what life is all about having fun!

Before we went to go see fireworks we let the kids throw poppers on the ground. There boys they loved it!

So finally we ended that night with going to Schnepf Farms for an awesome display of fire works!

Parker!

It's been a while since I VIP my kids so I thought I would start again writing a few thoughts and memories of my kids that I want to share but also remember.

Oh! That Face! What can I say! He has the cutest pouty face. I don't know how he gets that lip out so far but does the same thing with big puckered lips for kisses.

Parker always makes the cutest faces. When we first moved into our new ward we had some primary teachers come up to us (not his) and say " Oh your Parker's parents he makes us laugh every week with the faces he makes." The funny thing is he gets those shifty eyes and you know he is staging a coo!

Every time Parker says's his prayers before bed he always ends with " In the name of Baby Jesus Christ." Also the other day he said the prayer at breakfast and thank Heavenly Father for our forks and spoons. You know what Parker I'm thankful for forks and spoons too!

You know how you have certain words that aren't swear words but are words your kids can't call each other like, stupid, dumb, idiot, poo poo head, etc... Well in our house we had to add the word Princess to that list because Parker would say to his brother's "Your a Princess." Then they come crying that Parker called them a Princess. Guys come on Parker calls me a Princess too the only difference is I really am one!

Parker loves to tease his brothers! One of the things he loves to threaten them with is "I'm going to kiss you" Hey I'll take a kiss from you Parker!

Yummy!

Every day between 6:00-7:00 Parker climbs up on the same couch with a pillow and blanket and falls a sleep. I'll have to say it does make putting him to bed easier. I think after spending the day antagonizing his brothers (calling them Princess or threatening to kiss them) he gets tired and needs a little nap.

We love you Parker, you are so darn cute!

You Never Know!

As many know Kevin works the second shift (1:00 - 10:00 pm) as a plumber for the Chandler School District. So one day last week before Kevin went to work we had gone for a family outing to the movies and some other stuff. We got home just in time for Kevin to change his clothes and grab a lunch. We had a great time before spending time as a family, but the minute we walked in the door and Kevin went to change his clothes I started to get this really bad feeling like he shouldn't go to work that night. I have had feeling before like the still small voice giving a warning, but I never had one this strong before it was like that still small voice was shouting at me and I physically felt sick like I was going to throw up.

After we had family prayer before Kevin was about to leave I told him I have a really bad feeling and he said he did too but it was probably cause he was running late and just feeling anxious. He said we prayed for safety I'll be fine, NO! I told him we need to go to our bedroom and pray again as to why we both feel him a little anxious and me about warp my arms around his leg to keep from walking out the door.

We went back into our bedroom and said a pray and asked the Lord to help us know if these feeling were something we needed to listen to. After we finished our prayer Kevin decided to call in sick and I'm telling you the minute he got on the phone to report his absence I had a total clam peace full feeling come over me.

Now i have had plenty of experiences where I've listened to the promptings of the spirit and never knew what happened or found out things that might have happened. So a week went by and we heard of nothing out of the ordinary until last night Kevin came home from work and told me that last Saturday night there was a man that broke into one of the schools Kevin works at carrying an assault riffle running from the police. Still we don't know what might have happened but I feel blessed to have the gift of the Holy Ghost who gives us those warnings and promptings and I'm grateful for my husband who has never doubted me when I have had those feelings. We never know what may or may not happen but I know as long as we are prayerful and listen he will never steer you in the wrong direction.

Summer Fun!

It's that time of year where school's out, temperatures are rising and all the local pool's are open for the summer season. In another post I commented how I love that AZ has lots of free Splash Parks. Well at most Jr. Highs and High schools out here in AZ they have out door public pools. So today we took the boys to the Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center out here in Chandler. And of course it is next to the Basha High School. I can't just tell you how awesome this place is without showing you so I have included pictures from their web page as well as the family pictures we took.

Andrew coming down the water slide. Hunter and Parker were to short to ride it and they were pretty upset about that. But they had smaller water slides for the younger kids!

These 2 pictures are of the Family play pool with zero-depth entry, toddler slides, and the 752-Gallon "Big Blue Bucket."

These 2 pictures are of the lazy river and the red buckets that fill up than dump down on you in the river.

This picture below is of the Water Vortex. They used some kind of jets to create a pretty strong whirlpool that the kids loved.

This place was amazing it not only had the water slides, lazy river, and the water toys but there was a separate large competition and lap pool there also. We had a blast and look forward to going back all summer. Bye the it only cost .50 cents for the boys and a $1.50 for Kevin and I. AWESOME!
