Andrew's Baptism!

Andrew was baptized this last Saturday on August 15th. It was a very special day as most of you know having your first child baptized. On my side of the family he is the first grandchild and great-grandchild on the Carr and Woolley side to be baptized.

We had over 50 people come share this special day with Andrew and I'm so very grateful to all those friends and family members who made this special day for Andrew a priority. Following the baptism we had a birthday party at our house for Andrew and everyone who came to the baptism came to the party and let's just say my house was bursting at the seams, but again it is wonderful to have so many people in your life that you can share these special occasions with.

I'm grateful to be a member of the church and as Andrew now has the Gift of the Holy Ghost to help guide him through the trials of life, and as he learns and his testimony grows I saw on Saturday a small glimpse of the man he is going to be and I know what a great missionary he is going to become.

You are so right, there aren't words to describe what it is like to baptize your first child. Amazing. I think I cried everytime I thought about it for weeks before the actual day.

Hi Erin! I just found your blog through a comment you left on my page. I love your background. Congrats to Andrew on his baptism, such a sweet milestone. Your boys are all so handsome in their shirts and ties!

It was such a special day. I cried as I watched him enter the water. So grown up and still so very sweet. Actually, I started crying in the chapel as the children being baptized sang their song even before the baptism. He will be a mighty missionary one day. Dad and I are so grateful that we could share his special day.
